Racing & Training Services

ANR offers the following services:

Full-Service Year-Round Training/Racing Program
ANR supports athletes from the young junior just starting out, to the advanced junior hoping to make World Juniors, through Masters looking to get an edge for the Tour. ANR provides training and racing services for all levels.

Weekly Group Training Sessions
Group training sessions will meet up to 5 times a week. Practices will include running, rollerskiing, strength training, circuits, hill bounding, ski walking, technique video analysis, intervals, etc.

Training Logs
Each athlete will receive a hard bound training log with an individualized year-round training program structured uniquely for them. Training will be monitored on a weekly basis via face-to-face session and e-mail.

Racing Services
ANR will provide full racing services including logistics, waxing, testing, splits, race strategies, etc. Look for more info as the races get closer.

Uniforms and Racing Team Jackets
ANR team uniforms will be available for an additional fee. Uniforms are not required to be part of the team.

Senior Nationals/World Junior Tryouts
ANR usually takes a group of skiers to Senior Nationals. Many juniors are hoping to make the World Juniors or the Scando Cup teams. Some hope to qualify in the top 20, reserving a spot on the Alaska Junior Olympic Team. Many simply want to experience racing at the next level. See head coach Ja Dorris for more information.

Fitness Testing
ANR believes in testing athletes at different times in their training cycles. ANR can provide lactate testing for additional cost. See one of the coaches for more info.

Equipment Selection:
ANR coaches have a lot of experience when it comes to equipment. The right skis can mean the difference from a podium finish or not. ANR coaches will make sure you have the right equipment for racing.
